How do you clean a sofa with an upholstery cleaner?
Use moderate moisture, a textile-safe cleaning product and extract the dirty water from the fabric as you work.
Remove dust and loose dirt with an ordinary dry vacuum before wet cleaning because the SE 3 Compact is not a dry vacuum cleaner. Test colour fastness and water resistance in a hidden area.
Fill the fresh-water tank only to the MAX mark (up to 1.7 L) and use water or cleaning solution no warmer than 50 °C. Use Kärcher RM 519 or only the supplied detergent suitable for spray-extraction cleaners, following its package dosage exactly. Spray moderately and pull the nozzle slowly towards you in overlapping strokes.
After cleaning, flush the system with clean water, empty and rinse the dirty-water tank (up to 2.9 L), and leave the parts open to dry. For delicate fabrics, also follow the furniture manufacturer care instructions.
